To enable young people to experience creativity, love, and delight through music, and be inspired to make a productive contribution to our community, our nation, and our world.

Narada Michael Walden, a Grammy and Emmy award-winning producer, musician and recording artist, established the Foundation in 2004 to make a difference in the lives of young people by providing music education and appreciation, gifts of musical instruments, master class mentoring and live music performances for Bay Area youth. 

The Narada Michael Walden Academy offers mentoring and performance coaching to aspiring singers and musicians, culminating in a live professional show. 

Your contribution will enable the Academy to expand its search for talented young artists throughout the Bay Area and provide scholarships as needed.

The Foundation recognizes the potential of music to give young people vision, a sense of self confidence and to build self-esteem.  More than 500 aspiring young artists have participated in our master class programs and performances and benefited from the music grants we have awarded such as delivering instruments to classrooms.
